Saint Thérèse of Lisieux

Feast Day: October 1
Patron Saint of: Florists, missionaries, pilots, priests

The youngest daughter of Sts. Zélie and Louis Martin, Thérèse became a cloistered Carmelite nun in Lisieux, France, at age fifteen. She struggled painfully yet quietly with tuberculosis until her death at age twenty-four. Her “little way” of making small, quiet sacrifices with love reminds us that sainthood is achievable each time we allow God to draw us out of ourselves.
